Designer Profile
MASAKI / Masaki Sato, Textile Designer
After graduating from Bunka Fashion College, Masaki first worked in a apparel company in Tokyo.He then moved back to Yamagata to join in his family business, with Kyoko.
Awarded Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award 2009 by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
KYOKO / Kyoko Sato, Styling Designer
Graduated from Bunka Women’s University. Kyoko then worked as a designer and a pattern maker in an apparel maker.After she married Masaki, she moved to Yamagata, and started working as a styling designer in the company.
After launching their original brand M.&KYOKO, they had their first exhibition in NY, in late 2001. Their collection was a hit with the city's cosmopolitan women.
They continue to produce their creation in Yamagata, the home of their company and atelier, surrounded by the beauties of natural world.
